There are many simple and practical ways we can be for our community. Here is a simple list with more content, links, and opportunities to come. 
  • Serve with a non-profit that is improving lives in our community. (List coming soon) 
  • Take Neighborhood walks and meet your neighbors. 
  • Bring food to Canoe Creek for the Saint Cloud Cares program. 
  • Learn about foster care or other student exchange opportunities. 
  • Tip well when you eat out. 
  • Sign up to serve on Sunday in a Canoe Creek ministry. 
  • Learn about our missions and pray for them. 
  • Take someone a meal. 
  • Make cookies for our local responders and hospital workers. 
  • Go on a mission trip. 
  • Pay for a kid to go to camp. 
  • Provide rides for local seniors in the community who can no longer drive.

Local Missions

 A Place For Grace – St Cloud, FL
A Place for Grace, located in St. Cloud, Florida, is a Christ-centered non-profit organization that assists individuals in need, especially the low-income, homeless, and seniors. They provide essential services such as food, clothing, and hygiene items, while also offering programs like case management, job assistance, and a meal program to help people achieve self-sufficiency and spiritual guidance​.  Additionally, their thrift store, Grace’s Attic, supports these community programs by funding the services they provide​
Young Life – Osceola
Mariana Johnson
Mariana Johnson leads the Osceola chapter of Young Life, an international Christian organization that introduces adolescents to Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith. Through a relational ministry approach, Young Life leaders like Mariana train volunteers to invest in the lives of young people, guiding them through mentorship, community building, and faith-based activities​.  Currently Young Life Osceola meets in Osceola High School and St Cloud High School.   
Lake Aurora Christian Camp – Lake Wales, FL
Lake Aurora Christian Camp is a retreat center in Lake Wales, Florida, offering youth camps and year-round retreats designed to help participants grow in their Christian faith. The camp focuses on creating meaningful outdoor experiences and personal development through activities such as Bible study, nature exploration, and community-building events​.
FOR St Cloud 
We desire FOR St. Cloud to be part of the DNA of Canoe Creek Christian Church.  We want our church to be dedicated to serving the local community by partnering with organizations and hosting service events that meet real needs. This initiative reflects our desire to be "a church in the community, FOR the community," by supporting efforts like Generosity Project, and being FOR education, feeding children, widows and first responders, with the goal of fostering spiritual growth and connection through active service​.

Global Missions

Mission Myanmar - Myanmar
Judah and Kwah Tangshing

Judah Tangshing, through Mission Myanmar, leads a ministry that provides Christ-centered care to vulnerable children, with orphanages, education, and housing in several locations across Myanmar. His work also includes church planting, training future evangelists, and community outreach, helping transform lives through holistic care and spiritual guidance​.  Recently they have also been providing relief care for displaced people groups due to the countries internal strive and instability.
Pura Vida Church - Costa Rica
Dennis and Kyle Leon

Pura Vida Church is a Christ-centered ministry in Costa Rica, focusing on community church planting and pastoral training. Their mission is to bring people to Christ through authentic relationships, serving local communities, and spreading the gospel in a culturally relevant way.  Dennis and Kyle also invest in the children of Esterillos through their UNO+ program which engage the youth of their community for Christ. 
Grace Center - Haiti
David and Elizabeth Linkinhoker
Grace Center focuses on keeping families together and empowering communities through programs that address the root causes of poverty and family separation. Their initiatives include education sponsorship for children, agricultural training, medical assistance, and Bible study, aiming to create self-sustaining and supportive environments for families in need​
The Adams - USA/World
Cody and Sylvia Adams
Cody and Sylvia Adams serve with Team Expansion, where they are focused on multiplying disciples and churches among unreached people groups using media and technology. Through a combination of evangelism, church planting, and disciple-making movements, they work to share the gospel with those who have limited access to it, partnering with local communities to create lasting spiritual transformation​.
The Stones - Hungary
Randall and Timea Stone
Randall and Timea Stone's ministry focuses on discipling and mentoring people in Hungary through practical service and gospel outreach.  They also engage with their local community, using their home and outreach programs to share Christ and meet the needs of their village while continuing to serve as missionaries with Ripe for Harvest Ministries.  Randall is now also serving other missionaries in Europe and the Middle East as the Field Director for Ripe for Harvest Ministries.
Rapha International - Haiti, Cambodia, Thailand
Rapha International is dedicated to ending the trafficking and sexual abuse of children by providing healing and hope through long-term survivor care, prevention initiatives, and community-based support. They aim to combat child trafficking and exploitation globally, empowering individuals and families to break the cycle of abuse and restore freedom and dignity​.
Impact Forever - Worldwide
Impact Forever is a nonprofit organization that provides leadership training to help adults value themselves and the children they lead. Their programs focus on teaching strategies for connecting with kids, managing discipline, and fostering personal growth, with a goal of empowering leaders in diverse cultures to make a lasting impact on the next generation.
